I am an organismal biologist interested in the evolutionary physiology and functional genomics of animals. My research is aimed at understanding the physiological and molecular genetic mechanisms that enable animals to colonize extreme habitats. My work uses two systems at the moment: how saltwater fish have invaded freshwater, and how deer mice have invaded high-elevation mountain summits

I am currently a National Institutes of Health postdoctoral fellow, sponsored by Zac Cheviron at the University of Montana.
